“A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life.”
-Christopher Germer
Why Self-compassion?
Self-compassion is a transformative practice that offers a way to navigate life’s challenges with greater kindness, patience, and understanding toward oneself. Self-compassion enhances emotional resilience, mental health, and personal growth by encouraging self-kindness over self-criticism. It reduces symptoms of toxic stress, anxiety, and depression, fosters positive behavior change by creating a supportive internal environment, and strengthens relationships through empathy and connection.
What to Expect:
This 2-hour interactive workshop, open to all, explores the powerful connection between self-compassion and well-being from a behavior analytic perspective. Participants will gain an understanding of the role self-compassion plays in enhancing emotional resilience, well-being, and overall behavior patterns.
Individual reflection, group discussions, and guided practices will deepen the learning experience, offering practices that can be integrated into your personal and professional lives.
Who is this for?
Self-compassion is for everyone but this workshop is especially geared toward people that are helping professionals, educators, or parents, and offers BCBAs 2 General CEUs.
