ABOUT

Hi there!

My name is Jessica Woolson and I am a hispanic-white, neurodivergent woman living in Ashburn, Virginia. I am a trauma-informed board certified behavior analyst, certified mindfulness and social emotional learning facilitator, personal coach, and founder of The Wellness and Behavior Collective. Over the last 10 years, I've worked in behavioral healthcare and special education settings alongside countless individuals, caregivers, and communities.

My work extends to marginalized communities, professionals, educators, parents, and autistic children, teens, and adults. I’m especially driven to create trauma-informed organizations and wellness and behavior spaces that serve as a stabilizing and protective force for the disability community.

I founded The Wellness and Behavior Collective with the mission of creating inclusive, accessible, and transformative learning opportunities for personal and professional growth. This is a space to for diverse communities to come together to envision collective liberation for marginalized populations and the wellbeing of generations to come.

MY EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY

I attended James Madison University where I received a bachelor's degree in both psychology and Spanish. I built a strong foundation in behavior analysis from The University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I conducted an experimental thesis in mitigating against the effects of escape extinction in pediatric feeding disorders that I presented at state and national ABA conferences.

Currently, I am pursuing a second graduate degree, a Master's of Education in Social-emotional Learning (SEL), Mindfulness, and Yoga with a concentration in Transformative Teaching and Leadership through Breathe for Change. Throughout this program, I have developed my skills in trauma-informed teaching and facilitation, DEIA practices, and developing community-based wellness programs. I am conducting action research to assess the impact of Breathe for Change's TEACH method (trauma-informed, equitable, accessible, community-based, and healing-centered) in offering transformative workshops to the ABA community.

MY SERVICES

I am the lead facilitator at The Wellness & Behavior Collective and I provide 1:1 coaching services to neurodivergent adults and parents to support them in co-creating change in their lives, fostering self-compassion, building resilience, and living authentically.

I also work alongside BCBAs and ABA teams as a mentor and consultant as they expand their capacity for trauma-informed care. I co-facilitate wellness retreats and workshops with the mission of increasing accessibility for wellness through collaboration with other like-minded professionals for in-person retreats and virtual events.

I'd love to connect with you.
